Flavors of Kentucky

Valentine’s Day is next week, and several restaurants are ­offering specials on Feb. 14. But you don’t have to wait until then to celebrate your love. Some specials already are on the menu. Here’s what’s going on:

• Buddy’s Bar & Grill, 854 East High Street. (859) 335-1283 or www.buddysbarandgrill.com. You don’t have to have a date for Buddy’s Valentine’s Day party. Hours are 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 a.m. The Blue Barracudas will entertain in Lucille’s Lounge beginning at 9 p.m.

  “Dal Cuore” (From the Heart) Nights will be Wednesday and Thursday featuring a prix fixe menu and $10 off any bottle of wine.
• Dudley’s Restaurant, 380 South Mill Street. (859) 252-1010 or www.dudleysrestaurant.com.
  Chef Jonathan Gossett will ­prepare an elegant four-course ­dinner on Feb. 14 for $50 a person.
• Giuseppe’s Ristorante ­Italiano, 4456 Nicholasville Road. (859) 272-4053 or www.giuseppeslexington.com. Valentine’s specials will be served Wednesday through Feb. 15.
• Good Foods Market & Café, 455 Southland Drive. (859)-278-1813 or www.goodfoods.coop. A heart-healthy buffet will be served from 2 to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 14.

  For lunch on Valentine’s Day, heart-shaped 6-inch pizzas will be served from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.; after 4, 12-inch heart-shaped pizzas are on the menu. All receive a free slice of red velvet cake.

  Through Feb. 14, the bistro is offering prix fixe lunch and dinner duos for $39.95.
• White Castle, 307 East New Circle Road and 179 East ­Reynolds, Lexington; 448 Versailles Road, Frankfort.

  The four-course Valentine ­dinner, $60 a couple, features ­appetizer, soup or salad, tournedos of beef, and dessert. Wines on Vine is adding an extra Martini & Manicure night this month. It will be Tuesday.

  Valentine dinners will be served at 7 p.m. Thursday and Feb. 14. The menu includes hors d’oeuvres with complimentary champagne. The cost is $50 a person.
