New chef

■ David Danielson is the new executive chef at Churchill Downs in Louisville. Danielson joined the track’s culinary team in 2011 as executive sous chef. He studied at the Dumas Pere School of French Cooking and the hotel school Ecole Hoteliere Tain l’Hermitage in France, and has worked as the executive chef at New York’s United Nations Plaza Hotel, and the Ritz Carlton and Charlie Trotter’s in Chicago.
