Here’s a great excuse to eat dessert this weekend.
Eight Lexington restaurants are participating in Dine United Week by committing to make a donation to United Way of the Bluegrass for every dessert they sell through Sunday.

Take the jeans challenge

Celebrities are donating their jeans for a charity online auction to benefit United Way, but as a Baby Boomer and a bit overweight, this idea doesn’t interest me at all. But what caught my eye was the sponsor - Kellogg’s Special K - telling me I can drop a jean size in two weeks.
